Wasl Attendance ("the App") is the employee attendance application of the Hily Holding Employee Portal, powered by Wasl EP and operated by Start Tech Web Design L.L.C. on behalf of Hily Holding PJSC. The App is provided to authorized employees of Hily Holding PJSC and its group companies for recording work attendance. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights.
Information We Collect
Account information. Your work email address and password are used to sign you in to the employee portal. Your name, job position, and profile photo are retrieved from your employer's records to display within the App.
Location data. Your device's precise location (GPS) is captured only at the moment you punch in or punch out, together with the resolved street address. This is used by your employer to verify work attendance. The App does not track your location in the background.
Attendance records. Punch-in and punch-out times, dates, and the associated locations are stored in the portal's attendance system.
Biometric confirmation. If you enable fingerprint or face verification, the check is performed entirely on your device by the operating system. No biometric data ever leaves your device or is stored by the App.
Permissions We Use

How We Use Information
Data is used solely to operate the attendance service: authenticating you, recording and verifying attendance, and generating attendance reports for you and your employer's HR department. Data is not sold, rented, or used for advertising or profiling.
Data Sharing
Attendance data is transmitted securely (HTTPS) to the employee portal server and is accessible to authorized HR personnel of your organization. The App uses Google Maps to display maps and resolve addresses; map usage is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. No other third parties receive your data. We do not sell your personal data.
Data Retention
Attendance records are retained by your employer in accordance with its HR record-keeping policies and applicable UAE labour regulations. Sign-in tokens are stored on your device and are removed when you log out.
Deleting Your Data
Accounts are created and managed by your employer's HR department; the App does not offer self-service account creation. To request deactivation of your account or deletion of your personal data, contact your HR representative or use the request process described on our Account & Data Deletion page. Attendance records that your employer is legally required to retain under UAE labour law may be kept for the applicable statutory period after account deletion.
Security
All communication between the App and the server is encrypted in transit. Access to attendance records is restricted to authenticated users and authorized HR personnel, with role-based access and audit logging.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting your HR department or the contact below. Device permissions (location, biometrics) can be revoked at any time in your device settings; note that location permission is required to punch in or out.
Children
The App is intended for use by employees and is not directed at children under 18.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by your employer. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
